April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July, began taking lessons on piano and guitar at age seven. Her interest in creating songs was sparked. April Lockhart wrote her first song"Different" at 12 years old. When she was 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing songs and honed her music skills. She began writing alongside her father in NY and LA shortly after. April also began incorporating various other topics relevant to the"Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart has her own fan base and works as a lifestyle blogger with the well-known Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. She has a disability that is a component of her personality, but it's not all of the picture. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't cover up her disability, but it does not concentrate solely on her disability. What message is it sending? It's this: We all have multiple identities and are more complex than we think we are. Lockhart through a video message from Nashville home, says I don't want that to be a part of my character. I'm greater than the physical person I am. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I go about every day as normal and have found the best way for me to adapt things. However, it's a component of me and I feel it's important to talk about. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Still she admits she's gone through phases with her body at times being unsure about wearing certain types of clothing which showed how much of her body. She wears what she likes and is proud to post pictures of herself in the outfits she picks out on social platforms. It's a journey is the most important thing. I'm not sure if it will be an end about self-love. But I think that's with everyone with whatever they are struggling with. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and understand you. They'll be the ones asking you: What do you worry about?
