Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born on August 20, 1974, Aviano Italy American actress. Famous for her critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive people. Adams grew as the seventh 7-year-old living in Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s, she began doing professional dance and performance at the Boulder Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Later in Minnesota in a small local theatre, she was a cast as a character in an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her screen debut was as the bright, beautiful contestant. After that she moved her home to Los Angeles in order to make a name for herself as an actress. She was married to the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began following the signing of an MGM contract in the late 1940s. Her work was noticed through actress Norma Shearer. She was in numerous acclaimed movies in the subsequent decade including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis film from 1954).
